Pastoral Search Committee Update (January)

An update from your Pastoral Search Committee:

Following Sunday’s brief update during worship, we wanted to share a written update on the work of the Pastoral Search Committee.

As Scripture reminds us, Christ is the head of the Church, and under His authority, He appoints shepherds to care for His people. The Committee is seeking to serve the church by prayerfully listening, evaluating, and discerning whom the Lord is calling to shepherd this congregation.

We have completed our initial season of preparation and are now in the phase of collecting and interviewing candidates. This is a season of careful listening—listening to men who may be called to shepherd here, and listening for wisdom and clarity from the Lord as we evaluate.

We expect to remain in this phase for a time, and we believe that patience here is both wise and biblical. Scripture calls pastors to be tested and above reproach, and faithful discernment requires care rather than haste.

How you can pray: Please continue to pray for wisdom, unity, and discernment—that the Lord would give clarity in our conversations and guide this process according to His will. Here is a link to our Phase 2 Prayer Guide.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and trust as we seek the Lord together.

In Christ,
Pastoral Search Committee
